ot E46 stomp testable?

I am looking at a 2001 E46 325i

Do the e46 have something comparable to a stomp test to read off codes, or is this all done by computers?
Also does anyone have any pointers on what to look for?

I believe stomp test only applies to OBD-I cars... all E46 here in the states are OBD-II.
