This is killin me... I dropped these things off last week, and it's gonna be another week till it's done! They're getting acid stripped down to bare metal, metal added to all 4 wheel lips to repair bad curbing almost all the way around each wheel, bends taken out, getting those huge lips polished to a mirror finish on a high-speed polisher, and the centers resprayed in standard wheel silver.

This is the guy that did my girlfriend's wheels...

That first pic is probably the most flattering pic I've ever seen of an E36. I was never crazy about it, but that one's gorgeous.

Good luck with the rims. Keep us posted!

If I may ask, how much are they charging for all of that work that you described??

Not sure yet, depends how much work it ends up taking. He's very reasonable, my estimate is between $400-600.

yeah TC did you ever find out what they are?.I am nearly ready to put mine on.Mine are in better consition than yours. One has slight curbage, and they were spotless (on the fronts)I am cleaning the backs, one so far has taken five or six applications of Mothers all wheel cleaner and vigourous scrubbing!

Pretty sure they're old RZ's... I've heard old RG, but those look like style 5's, 3-pc... these are one-piece, no rivets

that plate still makes me chuckle i dont get it, whats under rated about a heavily modded 325.

such a nice 3er, if i were ever to buy the o so played out E36 I'd do it up just like that. Maybe the euro motor & 6spd. The only bad thing is the eyelids

oh wait this thread was about your wheels. Yeah man. fugly curbing, hope they come out just the way you want, repairing wheels is $$

Plate is a joke... it's Under Rated. Come on, it's just a 325 with a girl driving... (dyno'd 230whp, girl has placed top 4 M-modified class at autocross probably 8 or 9 of last 10 events) ;)

Eyelids used to be full wraparound, blended in better... but someone stole her turn signals right off the car and broke the eyelids off. She didn't want to pull them off because they make the angel eyes look better by covering the top, so I just got the dremel out and made a straight cut at the side.

But, yeah... can't wait for the wheels, hopefully they're half as nice as I see them in my head. :)

lawl would make more sense if she kept the badge then i guess

first hot lap ive ever experienced in Nürburgring was a female, first issued track instructor was a female, i think in germany its not an omg crazy thing to see girls tracking or racing
