For quite some time now I have noticed an increasingly large leak coming from the front of my car under the alternator vent next to the left fog light. So finally taking the time to figure out what size the nut it that holds the strainer in place in the power steering resivoir i found that it is only about half full and looking down beside the resivoir towards the firewall i notice a hose with fluid standing on its end. Now I have the Bentley and a couple other manuals but how full is the ps resivoir supposed to be, surely more than half? Looks like I will be diving in and try to replace some hoses or get them clamped correctly in the near future.

There isn't a dipstick that I noticed, just what looked to be a spring loaded piece in the middle that the strainer sits on and the top screws on to. I can take some pics to show what I am talking about.

Here are some pics:

pump the brakes with the car off about 20 times, til it gets hard (the brakes you a-holes )...the fluid will raise in the canister, thats when you check the level...about 3/4 of an inch from the top.
