Hey Everyone,

I trust that you all had (and are still having) a grand and happy time this Christmas/New Year. I am and have been slipping in and out of an alcoholic haze for the last 6 days..........ahhhhh only another three days to go and then I can give my liver a break.

Ok enough of the formalities I hear you say, just get on with it............

I have had a few requests on how the quad tip exhaust has been done on my 540. I finally got around to getting some shots that I was happy with (kinda) when I was doing the fit-up of my new Koni shocks.

Before we start, this is the way I bought the car from a private sale. It came with stock (clapped out) struts and shocks on a 6 month old set of lowered Eibach Springs, a set of crusty worn out Pirelli Azzimetrico's all round, apparently 'chipped' (still have to verify this one) and this Stainless Steel exhaust with the Quad tips, Heater box replaced a year before I bought it and a only 91,000 kms.

Onto the images:

They are mostly self explanitory but I have added small captions to explain what it is we are looking at.

First up what everyone sees when it's out on the road, had a few smiles and nods of approval from other BMW drivers out there, most people seem to like it, but is it a little too 'boy racer'?

This two shots show in a little detail what the system is.....

This shot is a little confusing but to explain, this is inside the righthand tailpipe of the pair of tailpipes (after the muffler) on the left hand side of the car. This is where the opposite side is fed from.
