it should say bad motherfuker, i am thinking about a 5.9 cummins with some goodies, depending on how bad the ohc 230 hurrcane I6 i may build it, i thought about a m30 for a couple minutes but it'd be a thirsty pig at 5200lbs 36" tires and 5.89 gears

i am leaning towards a healthy diesel, i think you can get 600flbs out of a 5.9 cummins cheep, that and i can get a squashed truck for next to nothing for it's driveline

You'll need some new floormats too.

The diesel will call for "stacks" exhaust...=) 600 lbs of ft-torque equals stump puller....

I'll say this, it certainly is unique....and something tells me that you'll take it to the next level of uniqueness.....=)

that's just a picture of a m715 for example, mines orange and white with forestry stickers and has a removable hard top with flip down windshield, i think it served as a light duty fire truck at one time from the looks of it, if it becomes mine there will be pics

i think my 20 horse craftsman riding mower is more complex, the boss is gonna get after him tomorow at the auctions and make it happen. the only question now is how long before he scores me a squashed dodge cummins truck (come on 24 valve 300 hp late model, but a mid 1990s 12 or early 24 valve will do)

Winfred, are you looking to tweak/toy with the beast? If yes, a lot of the guys still seem to feel the 12-valve pre-ISB motors are the best.

...that and they sound much nicer! :D The 335/600's are just to quiet for my taste! *LOL*

Cheers,

that's the way i am leaning, 94 and up with the "better" 5 speed tranny, however the 98 and up 6 speed would be cool

that the civilians that need them already sourced them from somewhere else, and do not need to rely on a military surplus jobber to get em....huntin' carcuses maybe? i don't think i'd like to meet the average joe that needs one of these around "just in case". if there's a hurricane that snuffs my mortal spirit out, i'd like to have gawkers post my pics on rotten.com. :D :D just kidding.

Most times, at death scenes, the body(s) are removed by the Medical Examiner's Office people, but occasionally they contract out to private companies, whom we affectionately call "The Ghouls". They both use new stuff, but we have a warehouse that has some Military surplus stuff that we get as leftovers. There's all sorts of stuff, coveralls, gas masks, blankets, boots, gloves.....all sorts of crap. You just never know when an airliner will nose-dive into the Everglades again....or whatever. When I was on the Value-Jet crash recovery, it was nice to be able to go to the office first in jeans and a t-shirt, change into a clean pair of coveralls and boots, go to the swamp for 6 hours, go back to the office and shower and get back into comphy clothes and go home and sleep. I did that for five weeks straight.

The fun never ends!

that had to suck on so many different levels, mom and i had to clean up a trailer after a death (it had been a while too) for those who deal with DBO on a semi daily basis, i feel for you, i don't know what's worse the ****ing flys or the fact that you can taste the smell

in my reasearch into the wonderful world of the 6bt 5.9 cummins, i found this toyota land crusher with a early 6bt (only 160 hp + 400flb) i am not sure which is cooler, the crusher with the 6bt or the fj with the modded (700flb) 4bt elsewear on the site

....not only did I get somewhere around 50+ hours of overtime in 6 weeks, but I also lost about 20 lbs. I bet I sweat a gallon or two every day. And it wasn't the type of work that was condusive to sitting around and having a snack evey few hours....the nearest Dunkin' Donuts must have been 20 miles away. But I drank lots of water. I think I lived on water, fruit and power bars for a month. Of course I'm back to my old fat-pig standards once again! :p

No matter what, that beat out what the FJ's had in them from the factory!

Big Cummins 6's are cool...I like NTC-350 that Jesse James pulled from a Freight and turned into a Monster Trike! :D :D :D

Winfred, keep us posted on the 5.9! :)

Didn't take him long to figure out that 14,000cc displacement and 2300lbs was going to make two wheels an exercise in lunacy at best!
