So I just got a set of Euro ellipsoids and I need bulbs for them.

I searched around and came up with 55w H1 bulbs for low beams, but I don't know about high beams. I also found that I can use the side marker bulbs from the trim for the city lights. Can I get these bulbs at my local auto parts store? Some clarification would be great ;)

In my 540, low and high beams (also fog lights) are 55w H1s.
I'm using now Osram Silverstars, and they are great.

Good luck,

Jose

Hey Zac,

The side marker bulbs are 4 watt ones, don't know the exact number. Just pop one out of your side marker bulbs and take it to the parts store. I would wire them up so the city lights replace the parking lights and the corners only act as a turn signal.

I don't remember if the side markers are on when you turn off the car like the OEM pking lights. If so you could just do euro trim and run the wires up to the city lights from the side markers.

Total cost for the lights? $499 per side or set of four lights?

I would guess thats for the set of 2, to buy 1 set at that price is ludicris.
