I've an annoying flat spot at around 4500rpm in 3rd gear in my '88 535i auto. I've just done a complete rebuild on the head including new cam, rocker arms, valve stem seals etc, polished the head and thoroughly cleaned everything.(the flat spot's been there since i bought the car) I also cleaned the air flow meter till it was spotless thinking that it might be the cause but only to find that i still had the flat spot once everything was back together(after a few hundred miles of running in of course!!). Does anyone have any ideas or had similar problems coz it's really starting to piss me off at this stage!!! Thanks for any help.
