My shopowner told me that he suspects that the bolt was airgunned to the thread. Looks like it?

I'm really disappointed with BMA, they tried to cheat me out of my own hard working money. I know it wasn't the company's fault. I should say, rather, that someone tried to deceive me.

it means knackered or shagged in a street speak sort of way, but if they were new thats not good, i cant say that i've ever had to use an air gun to do up tie rod nuts before

BMA sent me a diff brand than I ordered on some small parts. Parts seemed to be OK and BMA was very helpful and offered to send me the ordered brands. But I sure did not like not getting what I asked for. It has make me think about where to get my next order.

Did the box look beat up? The rods themselves used looking too? Maybe someone bought them, screwed up the install then returned them for credit and someone at BMA didn't check.

use http://www.autohausaz.com/ all these guys get the parts from the same place and they have free shipping...thats the big difference in cost from BMA these days. I spent 800.00 with BMA and they charged me 30 bux shipping...WTF?

Agreed someone returned the part after messing it up and BMA didnt check and threw it back in the bin.

No offense to BMA as they have supplied me great parts in the past, but a couple times I ordered rotors asking for zimmerman by name and got Balo's. They offered to credit my the $30 difference but I really wanted Zimmermans so I had to send them back out - PITA.

I have been using AutoHausAZ and I have had nothing but GREAT service - I have ordered some less conventional stuff - engine seal kit (full), throw out bearing, flywheel bolts, power steering hoses, etc. Stuff thats not typicaly "general maintenance" and it's always been brand name and prompt. Loving that service so far.

Additionally - AutoHausaz.com has been consistently cheaper than BMA.

Shrug.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure they were aware of the condition before they sent it. At first they called saying that they only had one flennor tie rod, so they would send me Meyles for FREE OF charge. They called back and said that they "found" some. I know BMA sell used parts as well, and when it came there was some chips on the paint of the tierod, so there isn't any way that they couldn't tell it was not used. The only way, I would imagine, is if they found it magically with eyes closed, felt them up, said "oooo flennor tierods", and threw them in the box.

otherwise, there was no way that they shouldn't have seen the condition of the tierod.

BTW, box was in good shape.

I agree AutohausAZ is a good place. Very easy to use website and stuff is cheap. Only problem is UPS takes for ever to get the stuff up to NY. I've also used mr-auto-parts. I believe they ship out of NJ so it's faster to the Northeast. They also have free shipping over $50 but make sure to price check them against AZ.

most of these places all ship from the point of the parts origin and not necessarily from their location. IE: heater cores are in texas, balljoints in ohio etc... Some places do not have a place like working out of your home.
