I'm doing my intake gaskets and in the process of removing the cruise control thottle cable, the plastic clip was brittle and broke in two.

looking at realoem (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HE63&mospid=47410&btnr=13_0382&hg=13&fg=15), is #5 the part I want? I can't tell if the clip is different for the cruise throttle cable and the standard throttle cable.

Shogun, I don't think that's the part I'm referring to. Those are metal clips. The thing I broke is plastic- I have to squeeze one side in order to get it out of the notch where the cables mount to the throttle assembly.

Its hard to see in the realoem link I posted above, but #5 is the plastic piece with a circular cutout to hold a short metal pin that holds the throttle cable to the assembly.

It comes on the bowden cable. These guys have the cable with the rubber piece for $24. Here is a picture of the one I just bought. h++p://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=26
