its about how your engine starts. Does it turn over fast and fire up on the first or second crank or does your car turn over somewhat slow but fires right up on the second or third crank? Mine does the later. otherwise runs fine.

This Nik starts fast on second turn, had an e-28 535is that always started on an istant. Right now the Nik has 200,000 kms-no issues. Cheers

I guess the latter? Mine always starts up like, bah-da-bah-da-bah-da-VROOM! When it's cold out, add another "bah-da." I just changed my spark plugs tonight, and no improvement to the startup. I envy my brother's original 1954 chevy that starts the instant you turn the key

Mine, 540/6 1995, dose a bit of both! With absolutely no apparent continuity
, hot, cold, luk-warm whatever. Doesn’t mater.

Guess just depends on what kinda mood she’s in!! Plus the occasional squeak as the power steering belts slip makes it sound mega rough. (Job for spring!)

But when she’s fired, runs like dream 193, 000 miles later. Alusil block. (Just changed to Bosch Super 4s no deferent. And runs Mobil-1 0/40w + a couple of bottles of prolong.)

My 1994 530iT (Nikasil) with 162,000 mi was starting to sound tired and slow when starting, taking longer than I thought usual. Finally it wouldn't start at all. A new battery perked it right up, now it cranks much faster, starts quickly (perhaps 1 second or so), and no annoying Trans Prog messages for a while.

It even starts quickly in the cold (well, as cold as it gets here, around freezing).

My Alusil 4.0 fires right up. 2-3 seconds tops.
