The Bowden cable between the shift lever and the tranny on my 92 525i recently sheared right though. I've got a replacement on order for collection this Saturday (£38.30 from my local BMW Dealer). Info in Bentleys is limited, but looks like a fairly straightforward job. Does anyone know of any step-by-step guides to carrying out this work please? Can't find any postings.
