I'm thinking of getting a set of the pictured wheel I found on craigslist. the seller didn't list what the style name was, only that it will fit a 540(which year's I dont know). If anyone can ID it and let me know if it will bolt onto my '90 535i, I'd greatly appreciate it! Also, if anyone has this wheel on their car and has a picture I'd love to see it.

you'll just need rings

weird double post. how much generally are the rings and what should I ask for specifically to order them?

$14.00, I see most are around $10.00 to $16.00 for a set of 4.

they are 72.56 inside diameter 74.1 osutside diameter

Those don't look like 5 series wheels, they look like 3 series wheels, recently I bought osme wheels the guy said were from an E39 but the ofset was +40mm, MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OFFSET
It is about 15-25 or something like that on our cars.

Don't get ripped off like I did. I just sold them for the same price and got some new wheels that DO fit, but it was a huge hassle.

I can imagine. what's the easiest way to measure them and figure them out when I go to take a look at them?

If I had to guess those came off a early E46 3-series with the sport package and wont fit.

Here's the ad for them: http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/pts/237806852.html I asked about exactly what 540 they were from but haven't gotten specifics yet.

filp over face down, take note on the inside mounting flange and its depth from the rim (offset)

If it's deeper than your spare... run!

Right, the only real way is to check the offset stamped on the rim. Just cause someone had them on their car doesn't mean they were correct.
