took a ride and a beautiful 535 wanted a rundown, I obliged.
the color was the same as mine so a romp through the woods was imminent.

he hit it first and I then stomped it, no comparo. was this a 520 or a rebadged 525?, my 530 cant possibly be able to destroy this... can it? The run was ~80mph to ummm more than that. I let off a couple times to make sure he was trying.

I'm guessing it was the small grill that was the limiting factor. Wind risistance must be a major factor on leg room.

hmmm maybe he had a real piece of ****, i destroyed the boss in a drag two mornings in a row on the way to work, he was in a 95 530ia with a 40k mile alusil shortblock and i was in my at the time unchipped 535ia, rolling start after turning onto the good sized divided two lane going past the shop, when i looked back at 110-120 he wasn't getting closer at a half dozen to a dozen and fading car lengths back

well hopefully he took note to the bimmer.info stickers and will chime in why a .30 beat his ass.

I doubt there are many non-obsessed M30 owners out there that are getting anywhere near factory performance from their 535/635/735 cars any more..

i guess lack of performance from neglect could be a possibility. i saw my old 535 the other day, dude had just painted it and it was looking pretty good with a good even color and smooth texture, the only problem is for some reason he painted the side trims and bumper trims with a rattle can and it looked like ****, lumpy ****, he still seemed shickled titless with it's performance

.... I'd pull, then his turbo'd pull, then I'd keep pulling while he shifted.... right up to about 100ish... he had about a car length, but started out in front of me anyway, just couldn't lose me...

... i looked up the specs on the 2.4L turbo PT and it's only got like 180hp boosted.... weird. Like I said I'm guessing I got stock in the 190ish... so w/the eat figure that's good for 10, so I'm doing around 200hp out of BMW's 2.5L... and he's got Crystler's 2.4L boosted at only 180...

Anyway was cool he didn't pull away, and he freaked when I opened the hood to reveal a mere 2.5L in the beastly 4 door sedan...

This cold weather (ok ok it's like 40 here) I really notice a difference in engine pulling harder than in summer....

cold air is a big improvement as long as you dont get stuck with winter fuel with methanol. you should have taken it higher to seperate the boys from the men :D
