Well, other than sorting out the XM and GPS antenna installations, I have it installed. I have the part number for the shark-fin, and the dealer cost is about $28 for the cover, so it's tempting. For now the antennas are installed, but not as nice as I would like. I used the factory speakers (with help from this forum) and the factory crossover by picking up a different amp at the salvage yard and bypassing the amp portion. I intended to just try the factory speakers and change them if necessary, but with the addition of the Infinity powered Sub, and the Eclipse amp, they sound awesome.

I also installed the steering wheel remote, and then put a Wheelskin over the steering wheel and the remote straps, so it blends in better.

The NAV box is under the passengers seat, and the ipod interface is in left side of the passenger footwell. The ipod just sits in the glove box, but I'm working on adding a second ipod for video using the Aux Video inputs on the AVIC. Right now I have to switch connectors if I want to watch an ipod video.

Let me know what you think. I installed the rear-view camera in the rear tow-hook cover with some custome bondo work, it works well.

How did you defeat the parking brake check? I had the N3 but gave up after I couldn't figure it out... not to mention I had to find a place to wire up the brain unit.

Very cool! I think sharkfins are about as ugly as you can get. I have the standard sirius antenna on my trunk. Not real sexy but it is hardly noticable.

Ground the parking brake lead, and flip the switch hidden under the foil tape on the bottom (after you remove the cage). It works great.

I think you could be right about the shark fin. I have also thought of painting the antenna's to make them blend in a little better. Maybe I'm worrying about it too much.

Ahhh... that's what nobody knew before. I'll see if my source has them for $550 again. Thanks!

Terk makes a small single lead XM antenna that matches the little postage stamp sized antenna the Avics use for GPS.
Unless you live in a large Metro area that has repeaters for xm, you aren't using that second "terrestrial" wire anyway.
Certainly makes for a cleaner install when both match.
