Fixed the sudden death syndrome last month with a DME relay & fusible link (with cleaned up terminals)

But.....

I still get this weird electrical bug every once in awhile.

Start the car up fine runs okay, but the cluster is dead except for dimly lit service lights, SRS, Brake fluid and both turn indicators. Radio back light is dim too.

Play around and it seems that even if I turn the car off the dimly lit dash stays on.

Windows take a few pushes of the button to go, after a few minutes of WTF, the dash goes normal as if it was just started up. (fasten seat belt, oil service ETC.)

I checked everything under the hood, but now I am thinking under the rear seat.

Any ideas?

i've had a defective spring in my alternator things similar to that. it was only after i took the regulator out that (me and Dan Dombroski (sp)) saw that one brush was waaay taller than the other one. i unsoldered and saw thatthe spring would give way in certain positions. consider unlocking the OBC and having the voltage display be your primary one, so that you can spot it (if this is the case).
