I made a reset (Test 21) to my OBC IV by mistake. Now there is "pppp" on
display and only button that works is S/R. It flashes display.

What can I do? Do I have to buy a new code plug?

You need just to start the engine :)

What, why? Well, I tried. It didn't help.

I read coding plug and the result is:

00'55'00'00'78'98'3B'5D'14'10'AD'7B'E4'D0'FF'FF'
D2'CB'01'00'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'
FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'
FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'
FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'
FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'
FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'
FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'FF'

There seems to be 20 bytes of data. Is that enough? Can anyone tell my data is correct?

Do the reset sequence on your ECU.
1) Step 1. Remove both + and -ve battery terminals. Yes. Undo the bolts until cables hang loose. Put +ve and -ve cables together for 5 seconds.
this fully discharged caps in the electricals.
My Tech did this several times before.

2) Put -ve On the battery first, then the +ve terminal. Fasten tight. Start the car. PPPP might just get on for a few seconds then, OBC will prompt for clock input. fixed. Good luck.

Thanks for help. I have to try that.

I already had OBC out of the car over night and that didn't help.

Try what in it?

I've made OBC upgrade long time ago. It worked well until I made reset (Test 21) from hidden menu:
http://home.iae.nl/users/bts/obc.htm

That reset screwed coding plug somehow, I think. I don't know the initial values for E34 M51D25.

Now my OBC is working. I had to reprogram the coding plug.

I have got a chip programmer device. I opened OBC, took the coding plug out and put it into programming device.

I don't know could it be done by dealer.

Interesting. I assume, then, that the coding plug is an EPROM or EEPROM? What kind? And what did you use for source data?

EEPROM, Catalyst semiconductor CAT93C46. One friendly soul helped me with the source. Couple of words were corrupted.
