about 15 hours spent over the last 2 days and the 5er is back in one piece :-) the first day was a complete teardown and yesterday me and my friend worked from 1-8.30 or so finishing her up. that includes about an hour break to get some arby's and run to sears to replace the busted ratchets. all she needs now is an alignment and shes good to go. amazing what new balljoints can do. Also im getting a knocking noise form tthe passenger side. Maybe something is lose or maybe something is making contact because of the bad alignment. When she goes in today for the alignemnt ill have them look and see where the noise is coming from. the steering shimmy at 50mph is gone which is nice. steering is a lot more precise. one thiong i noticed is the PO replaced the thrust arm on the passenger side but not the one on the drivers side which had 123k on the clock.

do the thrust arms with Poly bushings. Then your front end will feel ultra tight.
