I've been looking through some old threads , trying to fiind out if a 1994 E36 Steering wheel (like the one pictured below) will fit on my 1992 520i.

What bits and pieces would i need to get off this other car in order for me to fit it to mine? for example the slip ring etc
My E34 did not come with an airbag , so is it possible to remove the airbag from the E36 wheel.

Slip ring on the e34 and e36 are different. Yes, the wheel will fit. You'll need to swap the slip ring from an e34 wheel onto the e36 wheel. A good website that describes the process can be visited here:

It's great to see people using your interior photos as points of reference :)

I just put an e36 M-Tech 2 wheel on my 92 e32. It was a direct swap, no changes required at all. Fits like it belonged there all along:

Do you mean fit and function, or just bolt-on? If you mean bolt-on w/o airbag functionality, I am pretty certain it will. However, if you mean having a functioning airbag, I am pretty sure it won't. To the best of my knowledge, that wheel will only work in 1994-1995 E34s.
Sorry, I may be wrong, but I don't believe I am. HTH

Yes and no. Obviously the M Tech 2 that I put on doesn't have an airbag, and cannot be fitted with an airbag. According do www.realoem.com e32 and e34 steering wheels with airbags are interchangeable for all models after the 07/1990 build date. My wife's e36 02/1993 stock wheel with airbag fits my 92 e32, therefore it will fit a 92 e34.
