The first one has a DOHC v-6. I guess the "When it comes to SELLING vehicles... WE DON'T MESS AROUND!" statement is a bit out of sorts.

What the heck? A 15 inch steel wheel with a donut type spare on it?!? Did BMW change what lies in the spare tire well between '92 and '95? My '92 has a 15 bottlecap with a pirelli 6000 (or something) on it.

...stock from the factory. 5/94 production US car.

look! its brian c's car! (just kidding) :D

i think that, as the "bottom of the line" US car, the 525i came with a uniroyal 205 65 15 on steel wheel. i'm surprised that ashley's came with a basketweave. i'd try to replace me steel wheel if style 10s were more popular (= hen's teeth).

rear headrests are standart too?
Can I assume that the clear lights are aftermarket?

I've been shopping for another E34...

rear headrests are standart too?The '95 I just bought has the steel spare and rear headrests. The PO told me he had to search a long time to get the headrests in leather to match the '95 Luxury Package leather, but they did not come on the car. (My car is late enough that it does have the electrically controlled telescopic steering wheel adjustment.) The steel spare was a standard feature on all '95 525i with the exception of the Tourings which came with an alloy spare to match the other four—of course I'm talking about U.S. cars, only.

I need to find an E32 parts car to yank some rear headrests from. They somehow make the car look more sporty, and are for sure more comfortable and safer for rear passengers. I don't understand why they weren't standard on US cars.

My 9/95 525iA with Luxury package and auto only has:

No rear headrests (I need to find some in Parchment)
Steel spare with Michelin Energy MXM4
Electric telescope

Guess they cut costs in '95 for all the other changes.

My 9/95 525iA with Luxury package and auto...Have you chipped your engine yet? Really wakes up the automatics, as I recall.

Have you chipped your engine yet? Really wakes up the automatics, as I recall.

I need to, but it's EWS II (9/95 build) so it's a PITA to remove the chip and send it in.

I'll do it sometime. I've also heard it wakes up automatics, along with a Dinan tranny chip.

"...Chips are now available for 2295 E36 and E34 EWS-II (anti-theft system) equipped cars which use the 0 261 200 413 DME and can be ordered below. Please supply your VIN when ordering an EWS chip. If your -413 DME has a GREY label, it has EWS-II. You do NOT have to send in your DME or stock chip for EWS codes to be transferred." Give Mark a shot.
