I have a European spec 1990 BMW 520I. when im looking for parts i never see anything with my car model. Im pretty sure i have the E34. Does anyone know what car is exact same auto specs so i know what to buy.

The 520i and 525i are practically identical - their blocks are externally pretty much identical. (When in a scrapyard the only telltale is the capacity stamped in the side of the head.

I should imagine they use the same tranny as the 525i...

hit up www.gsfcarparts.com or www.eurocarparts.com (both uk based) to cross check part numbers for compatibility.

You shouldn't have any real problems with parts - I've got a 5-speed manual M20, and every part number can be found on realOEM.
