Guys, Any ideas appreciated!

4 litre V8 6 Speed 225k miles problem free Nikasil. Regularly serviced by my own fair hand.

Car starts perfectly when stone cold. Also restarts instantly when hot - e.g. after refuelling.

However, if the car sits in the sun all day for say 5-6 hours it will crank over for 4-5 times longer before firing.

I am already aware of the possible non-return valve problem in the fuel line that may cause pressure drop, but these symptoms seem a little unusual.

Problem is lessened by using premium 98 octane fuel e.g. Shell V Power.

Anybody had more experience with this?

Cheers

Euan
