can you buy a 1995 bmw 540i with a six speed maunal transmission, and sport seats, or do i have to get the M-sport editon....

and i have researched and found that the V-8's have a problem with Nikasil engine block failures.... and you can fix the problem by getting Alusil engine blocks....have most older bmw v-8 5 series been fixed

All 1995 540 manuals came with sport seats, some like mine have the heated seat option which is great if you have a bad back.You can call BMWUSA's main customer service number with the VIN of the car in question and they will tell you if it had the Nikasil block replaced under the recall.Mine was replaced at about 89,000 miles ,i bought it with 129,000 in the early Summer and it now has nealry 150,000 miles, No problems with the engine.

If you wanted an 95 540i Auto with sport seats then you have to get a M-sport.. 1 of 65 like mine.. My car also had Alusil block replacement.
