If the door seal shrinks and the door closes not that easy anymore as the edges come out, the wind noise at high speed becomes louder, here is what my friend "TAKE" in Japan made:

I did the same, just using some runner and roll ot as shown here. Cut the old seal at the bottom.
In my case on all doors the sealing shrank by 30-40 mm over the years.

This is something I have intended to ask about. My door seals have shrunk to the point that there is at least a 1/4" of light at several corners. They do not leak and there is no air noise yet, though. Is this something I need to address at this point, or wait until I get some noise?

Buy one new door seal (prob for the drivers door). Use the old one to slice out sections to replace in the other seals in the same manner as shogun's post. Makes a much more finished (and almost unnoticeable) repair.

Or a used one from a wrecker. Make the splice under the sill trim, that way it doesn't matter what colour the used trim is. You'll have enough to do all 4 doors for ~$10.

I have a worn drivers seal and am happy to pay for a new oem one.

How hard is it to get the old one out and fit the new one?
