Hello,

My heated mirrors are stuck on for some reason, among other things I don't know about yet. The only way I can turn them off is by pulling Fuse number 12. The Bentley is a bit ambiguous and how it reads with the power distribution. I'm not exactly sure how the mirrors get their power. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you for your consideration,
Tony

i'm not too familiar with heated mirrors since i don't have them on my car.but my best guess is that ther might be a short in the switch (if thier is a switch).

No switch, they turn on when automatically.

Mine are on whenever the car is on, are you saying yours are on when the car is off?

it has to turn on some how, so maybe a bad relay????

my best guess

That's what I'm thinking too. I'm going to try and pull one relay at a time until they go off. What really stumps me though is that the Bentley shows the fuse after the unloader relay. I pull all the relays and I still measure 12 volts at the terminals of the fuse. Is the unloader relay not in the power distribution box?

mirror heaters, When the key is in the on or run position your mirrors will have heat.

Tony, K9 is the unloader relay that supplies power to your mirror heaters, When the key is in the on or run position your mirrors will have heat.

Thanks Bill, I'm going to pull K9 and bench test it sometime today.

Pulled all relays from power distribution box and the mirrors remain hot.

I'm at a complete loss here. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks for your input.

(Keys are removed from the ignition and nothing else is powered)

one has a jumper lead connected to it to supply power from elsewhere then it will energize the mirror heat all the time
