Yes I know, it's been talked about. But before I break too many newbie laws, I searched, found the thread, but the link to the video or whatever it was didn't work. So I'm wondering if anyone has anything on the subject, as I don't want an egg yolk in my clears and I don't want to shell out $40 or whatever for silvers. Thanks.

simple, lightly dust the bulb with silver paint. if you coat it too much it will limit light output. You want it dusted so you can still see a little bit of yellow, you wont see it through the clears.

So... just regular old silver spray paint you'd pick up at a hardware store? Heh, disregard my ignorance, I implore you.

sure beats 40 bux, tape the base if you want. I just usually spray paint my fingers.

Remember to get high heat/temperature paint so that it doesnt melt off and ruin the socket. Its the same price and can be found at the same places, it just prevents any melting.
