whats up with the front end? Something looks like it's hanging and it also looks like the fog lights are missing.

Theres a 535 here on M-15 for 3200.00 if I remember, when I looked at it a month ago it had 155k, it's white, the body was not mint, had a slight dent scrape on the R Q-panel and a few door dings, the headliner was hanging and the front seat was worn (leather) Manual trans. Looks like a great winter car and he would probably take 2500 by this weekend lol.

If interested I'll get the number or give you directions, cant remember the number because I wasn't all that interested. on a 1-10 scale id have to put it at about a 7.

Edit: I think it was a 92

I am one of these I bought new in 1985, sold it 11 years later with 297,000 on it. Great cars, good on gas, and still fun to leave a green light with.

last one, the car drove good, engine felt strong, rand good, clutch felt good, stuff was a bit rattely, kinda harsh, but hey its a e30 sport, the seats, well you can see the seats, but they felt good, i had never sat in sports before they felt real good, and he said he had tan leather sports lined up in good condition for 150 bucks, it has alot of imperfections, like the front valance being a tad jacked, missing the fogs, paint isnt terriblebut looks faded and if you look at the pic of the liscens plate area you can see its chiped there, also missing s section of the shadowline trim, so im gunna try to get the price down on those points, what do you think of it now?

Cloth sport seats didn't hold up, ask me how I know!

The rust doesn't look too bad; I suspect from where the grill and shadow line trim gripped the car.

I have to question if it is original paint, with that chipping on the rear license plate makes me think repaint.

Good Luck

Recover those seats with M-technic cloth. Replace the front valance and draft stop. Install foglights. Flush the brake fluid for heavens sake, it looks like the radiator has been replaced, find out why. (you just want to be sure he didn't overheat it) what makes me suspicious is the color of the fan. It should be black, it's been replaced. Did the water pump let go and break all the blades off the fan? Looks like the front timing cover has been off recently. Find out if it was an oil leak they were chasing or timing chain rails. Has the timing chain tensioner been replaced? It takes about 20 seconds to pop the cover off where the spark plugs are, use the tool kit in the back and a flashlight, look for oil in the spark plug wells and pull a plug and check its burn. Check the ignition wires as they enter into the cover, because of the factory header design, the edges are exposed to high temperature and become brittle there. Check underneath the car for oil leaks from the front of the engine compartment and transmission. Check the rear differential for leaks and also for the LSD tag.

Assuming all mechanical is ok, I think it's worth about $2200- $2400. The tired paint will respond well and shine after about 40 hours worth of cleaning and polishing. But after the initial cash outlay, you will easily drop another $1000-1500 to make it a keeper. Once you get it there, it's easy to keep because parts are cheap and it's easy to work on....

Good luck Kyle,

They will do a pre-purchase inspection for you. I think its an hours of lablr $90. If you are serious and not super familiar with e30's its a good investment.
