There is a meter under the miles on my dash, it goes from green to yellow and red, it only lights up when you first start the car, is this a voltmeter? I have no book on the car yet

thats the inspection and oil change indicator.

Not to hijack this thread, but...
Will the impending reformulation of diesel in the US effect your engine? I ask because I've started noticing signs at gas stations that say not to use this diesel if your car was produced after a certain date.

somewhere here or on Bruno site the are simple instructions for reset, its good when all bars are lit upon startup. At least that is so for gas cars.

my local station says do not use if your diesel was produced "before this date" which eliminates all but the newest diesels... and my lawnmower.
Not to hijack this thread, but...
Will the impending reformulation of diesel in the US effect your engine? I ask because I've started noticing signs at gas stations that say not to use this diesel if your car was produced after a certain date.

Thread officially hijacked.

Why can't older diesel's use the newer fuel? I haven't heard about it yet, and I've yet to see one of those signs.

It's probably bio-diesel and bio-diesel (B100) has a bad effect on natural rubber (like in hoses in vehicles prior to 94 ish).

With a new car you need to check the warranty to make sure you are covered for biodiesel. Typically the cover will be for B10 or B20 (10 - 20% bio mix).

The new diesel is low sulfer--not bio. All old cars & trucks will work off it with reduced gas mileage. New cars and trucks from 07 on will require it and will not work off the old stuff.
