Hi, I own a bmw e30 320is , and it has 2 Litre m3 engine , it Is original from factory, and I decided to make a conversion to the 3 Litre m3 engine of the e36.

I was surfing your webpage and I saw that you already done some kind of conversions,

Can you please help me and tell me wht are the main changes that need to be done to my e30 to fit the e36 m3 engin in it??

I mean :

1: does the front subframe fits with the e30 ? or do I use the e30 subframe ?

2: do I need to cut somewhere in the bulkhead or the body to fit the engine?

3: what about the wiring loom?

I know that I am asking too much , sorry, but I realy need help

Thanks in advance

i can only speak of usa lhd cars (id love the chance to play with the rare destroked 2.0 s14 and see what it's like) the subframe and firewall need no mods as the motor is only about 13mm longer then the m20 6 cylinder, as for wireing you modify the car to accept the wiring that's on the later motor, theres a few places online that sell a very overpriced book/cd that outline the exact mods but it's a common enough swap that there may be someone with the info listed on the web. good luck
