Hi everyone,

I got back into my 1989 535i a few days ago to find that the headliner panel holding the sunroof switch had simply fallen out of it's housing. When I tried to put it back I quickly realized that all of the plastic catches that snap it into the roof have broken off.

It's barely holding on with duct tape and it's become quite annoying. The headliner color is light grey... Does anyone know where I can find a replacement part for this? The only one I found on EBAY looks like it's the wrong color:

Be a bit inventive. Get your hot glue gun and make out of some pieces of plastic new clips and glue them on.
Worth a try.

I might have my old grey one available. I converted my whole headliner to the Black M5 version.

I should still have it I will check in the morning. If I have it still in my parts bin, you can have it for free... just cover the shipping.

this exact thing happened to mine.
I just dobbed a few lumps of silione on the motor is there (nowhere near the spindle) and help it up in place.

Its the cheapest and easiest thing to do, should come off without too many dramas as well.

specialguess -- Thanks for offering your old part. If you have it, I'd love to pay for shipping it... Let me know.

If that doesn't work, 632 Regal -- where did you find it listed under bmaparts.com... I couldn't find the right heading when I looked...

Thanks everyone for the suggestions...
