Hello I have just change the transmission fluid and have noticed a strange wining noice for a couple of seconds when the car is cold.

Start the car and reverse out of the drive way with no problems. The drive off and then transmission noise for a couple of seconds and then it goes and does not come back for the rest of the day but happens every morning since changing the fluid.

Any ideas.

Are you meant to blead the fluid after a change. I put 5.5 liters of oil in there! very expensive but no choice as the pan had a small leak.

Did you install a new filter as well? The filter must be the OEM one made by Filtran or else you will hear a "buzzing" sound from the fluid, especially when cold during gear changes.

I had the same noise but in the summer (july)....changed fluid, gasket, and filter
no more noise and shifts alot "smoother" since then....
all techs I asked told me same... noise is from fluid trying to get thru clogged
filter bubbling up and forcing thru the crud (so to speak)
