Took the lady to tescos (real lady not the car)
round the roundabout Not fast, i wasnt messing about just normal speed,

but anyways, took my exit and right away i heard and felt a buzzing
jig-saw like noise from around my feet.
This went away if i drove strate, but turn the wheel and....

BUUZZZZzzzzZzzzzz

What the f...... so the Mrs went into the shops and i stayed to
investigate the noise.
Popped the bonnet, no idea what im looking at, so started the car
again and turned wheel........... No Noise!
it had gone? took the car round the car park and sure enough the noise was gone.

Any idea what it was?

i some times notice some weird phenomenon when i have the wheel cut hard to turn, sounds like the Wheel of Fortune made all out of steel... i just try and avoid having to cut the wheel that hard,I don't suppose its supposed to happen but it isn't stopping the car from driving normally the other 99% of the time so i haven't looked into it.

sometimes i get a feeling like this and it is related to the road surface! Its a phenomenon i think is related to our "sensitive" front suspension.

if you couldnt feel it in the wheel, its probably the steering fluid pump.... if you could its probably the box.

Diagnosing noises by description is as difficult as a, uh, difficult thing, but it sounds a bit like your ABS activated.

no, couldnt feel it in the wheel.
Only if i turned the wheel i felt it and heard it around in the foot wells,
straten up and it was gone, turn a bit and it came back.

Parked up, turned off the car, started it again. and it was totaly gone?

Steering fluid up to level? Air in the system can make some horrible sounds.

Are you running standard wheels?
If not they might have the wrong off-set.

Maybe a piece of the inner guard is loose and the wheel touches it on turns?

Haven't worn the sticker off the new tyres?
