ok I have read all about clunking in the front ends. but mine doesnt seem to match up. I have a 95 525it when I jerk the steering wheel back and forth quikly I hear a clunk in the front left. when going over bumps at slow speed I also notice it. I checked the big nut on the steering column. but dont know if I should adjusted stering box? all other tests seen to be negative. no hi speed shimmy or braking shimmys. any help please

lots of people said that new thrust arms will fix the problem.

Thrust Arm (either the bushing or the "ball joint)
The control arm bushing or ball joint
The Stabilizer End Link
Looseness in the tie rods
Looseness in the Idler Arm
Jack it up and start wiggling and feeling.
If you can, get a friend to wiggle the tire while you're under there feeling for play.

Good Luck.
