SEARCH!

But yes they will fit OK, hubcentric rings are required.

Yes, e39 wheels will fit an e34 with hubcentric rings from tirerack. Take a look at bmwe34.net (http://www.bmwe34.net/), there is plenty of info on this topic there, also, here (http://grindstaffp.googlepages.com/DSC01086.JPG) is a pic of my wheels.

No, they won't fit. But if you search, you'll know why.

I'm sure these are E39 wheels on my tourer, they where fitted by the previous owner but I recently had the wheels off to fit some new break pads and there wher no rings?

Excuse my ignorance but what do they look like?

Cheers

You should be able to find them at a good tire shop.

Ooops I mean Tyre Shop

Okay, while we're on the subject of rims here, I've got too ask. I saw the pictures of these "hubcentric rings" and have read several threads saying that you need them with certain rims.

What function do they serve? I've never had a vehicle that ever needed something like these before. Most of the time with my aftermarket rims, the hub cutout for them were always slightly bigger than the factory hub of the car. I've always assumed that the tapers in the lugs pull the wheel into a centered position. Coupled with proper balancing, I've never had an issue or vibration before.

I understand our lugs *are* the studs as well, but they're still tapered, so... what's the deal with the rings?
