obc programming - independent heater

Hi all

Would very much like to use my independent heater funktion. I program it via the OBC.

But when i do i doesnt start. I can manually start the heater by the OBC but not by the timer.

Are any of you familiar with a OBC guide? Dont have the owners manuel for my car.

Just to mention, my outside temp. sensor is broke says -30 degrees. Could that be the reason for the OBC not working when programmet to start the independent heater?

regards
anders

Maybe you check that out there. I remember (if not wrong) that in my E32 manual there is something mentioned that the system only works if temp is under 16 degrees C.
So a missing signal of the outside temp sensor 'could' be the problem.

i will try to get a hold on a new temp sensor. I think thats the problem.

also,if the temps sensor is broken you have a warning status ie the obc is always warning you of the ice warning ie less than 3 deg celciusthat can interfere with the OBC/warning functions
