im going to overflow my fuild

so i started my car this morning...blah blah blah
(cut to the chase)
my trans keeps slippin when going in to D or R.
this only happens in the morning or after it has been sitting for several hours
anyways to solve this problem im going to add extra Trans Fluid (above the fill line).
whatcha think will this help?

oh and ima change my trans filter while im down there

Do the change without over filling first, if overfilling corrects it you are masking another problem.

Remember to check the fluid level with the engine running and the transmission in Park. If you check it with the engine off, the level will read much higher.

and it has to be about 100 degrees and car must be level
