I know my little pins are wrong and the window dude used puddy to make up for the gap between the body and the grill piece under the windshield...(So he could attach these POS generic push-clips which I have already picked up OEM ones to replace them) Other than that, what's up with my windshield arms? Are they on wrong, are they switched? These were completely taken apart and put back on incorrectly so don't assume whole assemblies are correctly paired with the arm, I honestly don't know...
Let me know...
Also, notice that the arm was hitting the hood for a while apperently....

They aren't switched I think.
I guess driver side is a little to low. Unbolt it, an change the angle a bit..

For the passenger side, try tighting the bolt..

Yeah, the passenger's side arm is on the correct side because it has the E34 hood mark. :) I agree with Mitch, the driver's side is a little low...shouldn't be tough to fix.

I dont have the hood mark.

Liar! Everybody has the hood mark. :D

I agree, that the arms seem to be ok. Even the driver's side one. If you move it up a notch, it will be too high (I think!)

Some hoods sag in the middle toward the windshield over time. You can try pulling up on it, if you're careful and brave. Otherwise you just get to live with the "mark". Other threads have talked about replacement arms or modifications to arms that might work. Use the search.

it's not so much a sagging hood as it a rising wiper arm

I have the mark as well. It full on rubbed and polished the area on the hood where it was rubbing, so I used some touch up paint to protect the bits exposed on the hood.

As for the positions of the wipers, mine were level before I noticed them rubbing. I adjusted one to be higher (driver's side RHD) so it looks a little odd, but at least it's not rubbing against my hood anymore.

I knew that this was a problem with the E34, but didn't realise how widespread it is! If anyone with an E34 out there doesn't have this problem, then your E34 is not genuine! :p

I was just talking to Cereal Killa about this - EVERY e34 has "the hood mark". Its kind of like VR6 Jetta/GTIs with the hood dent from failed front motor mount :)

Look at the e32 and you see that they have it allso.:D
When i had my car and the guy told me that he drove not more than 40000km i knew it was so because the wiper was as new;)

Hey guys, on Alexlind123's pic, see the BMW blade spoiler on the drivers side wiper?

Is that only supposd to be on drivers side, or do they make one for passenger side as well?
