Q: on part #13 here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HB12&mospid=47369&btnr=51_1055&hg=51&fg=30 where you attach the glovebox clips, it looks like there's supposed to be a slight bend there on the left. towards the engine bay. anyway, there is on my car. is that correct? my globebox always hangs up on the dash when i close it and i wonder if that bend might be the problem? is that a stock bend?

Q: also, i wonder about my instrument cluster. it has the SAE 06 printed on the bottom of the speedo. does this mean that the society of automotive engineers certified the system in 2006? cause if that's the case, the cluster's brand new, and i gotta wonder also about the accuracy of the mileage of my vehicle.

i already paid too much for a car with so many problems, then had to dump a retarded amount into it to fix them. i suppose that's the price you pay for finding exactly the car you want, tho...

are adjustable

Release the clips, gently close the glove box and align it so it fits, then fasten the clips and see how it operates.

This may take a few tries.

That speedo thing? I dunno, probably doesn’t stand for 2006

thanks, i'll try that right after class.

and i don't really think the instrument thing is referring to the year, but it was just kinda nagging at my brain every time i looked at it...
