This was the problem side, it came out OK I'm actually pretty happy with it
What do you guys think? Took me the better part of the day to get it right

Looks good from what I can tell. Tape, paint , or OE BMW?

They are the original chrome ones removed and painted with flat black trim paint. It was alot of fun I think I might do it on the inner trim pieces around the windows too :)

How did you remove the pieces? I painted the rear piece by the back windows, but I used tape on the rest. I want to paint them all, looks alot better than the tape.

I have a little plastic "bone" I got from VW Training looks like a double edged flat screwdriver. I stuck this under the spot where the clip is on the drip molding, then used a screwdriver to pry against it so I wouldn't damage the paint in the door jam. All the clips will break and those little buggers were $1.00 a piece at the local $tealer.. Followed the instructions here:
