I'm off to Hong Kong and Macau tommorrow (Saturday) for a week.
I'll see if I can sniff out some E34's while I'm away and grab some pics. :)

Good luck with the hunt! Don't expect a pampered E34 if you do see one, unless that person has a few pretty pennies.

In General it cost more to own a car in HK than in the US. You have to pay for parking space and dented fenders are ticketed.. People who owns car do try to take care of it.

I was in Hong Kong, Macau and Southern China a few months back, saw a few E34's while I was there, none of them were really nice or looked after though, and most were 520i's or 525i's. They certainly stand out though in amongst the endless sea of no-name cars

Not much happens in Macau, there's not much to see there really, except for the casinos if you are into that.

Hong Kong is a lot more interesting, lot's more to see. Very busy, and very expensive though.

If you get a chance, pop over the Shenzen on a 1 day visa, it's a nice place.

Have fun!

That looks like a very nice, clean e32. Where i live, i have seen a few beat-up e32s, but never a run-down e34.

There are a lot of E34 in Hongkong. I lived there 4 years on Hongkong Island. But you do not see them so often on the road, because there is the problem to get parking space. I usually used the taxis which are very cheap, tram, double decker busses and subway.
My business friend had a 535 and an M E34 too, never have seen him to come to office, just used it on weekends. Because the parking place at his office was extremely expensive.
Similar to Japan, where I have to pay 400 - 500 $ a month for a parking lot in Tokyo center.

and dented fenders are ticketed..

What do they do to you if it looks like your face got hit with a shovel?

Well I'm back.
Saw a couple of E34's in Hong Kong and one in Macau, however there are plenty of current model BMW's around especially 745iL's & 750iL's.

In Hong Kong about 50% of all cars on the roads are Toyota Crown taxis, 25% are your common Japanese small-midsize models and 25% are high-end European luxury and sports models... BMW's, Mercedes, Audis. Porsche, Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis etc.

In fact I've never seen such a high concentration of high-end Eurocars in one place in my life.
The booming Chinese economy is producing millionaires & billionaires in droves.

Will post some pics soon.
