pretty sweet..... but 27k for a car that's 11 years old? Somehow it still seems odd to me even if there's nothing wrong with that

..i think. they must really be fishing for big $ for it and in no hurry to sell. Could you ship that to Japan and get it licensed?

No problem to get it licensed in Japan.
Even would not have to install a new cat, as since some years it is no longer required to have a special temp sensor at the rear of the cat to give an alarm when the cat is overheating.

But that price is quite high end, for sure one day a real E23 collector will buy it and stuck it away in his garage.

You'll just end up removing the SLS anyway. What else do they have on a non M-Sport?

Thats a sweet car! A little pricey though. If I was to spend that much money it would have to be on an E34 M5.

Body trim, rims, and maybe better brakes. http://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/dunno.gif

Now that is damn sexy!!

I'd "tap" that... In a purely automotive sense, that is ;)

well, to put things in perspective. I can easily fetch 30K for my 91 NSX with 79K miles.

I guess in general my M-sport is still an E34.. There are plenty of E34 around. M-sport edition is by far more rare but still dont have the resale value of my NSX.

Yep--you could probably get 2 M5s for that money...or the cleanest 3.8 Euro M5 that you'd ever see--or an M5 Touring...stupid money for that car. Mid Teens to low Twenties tops. I bought my M5 for $15,000 with 38K on the clock. It needed paint but now I'm in it with $21K [bare metal respray in Sterlingsilber, M parallels and tires, full inspection II, new brakes, and valve adjustment]. That is stupid money and I doubt anyone will pay it. 2003 M sport 540is go for mid $30Ks with low mileage and are still under warranty.

This car is rare, but like all e34s, it isn't likely to escalate/appreciate in price anytime soon--the cars were just too common to become easy collectible classics. Hey, it's not my money, but I would buy an e34 M5 and an e30 M3 track car instead.
