ECU on my E36

I have been having problems of hard starting and when the car start it goes into a un-tuned mode for 2 minutes. I took the car to have it diagnosed and the tech said the data say that it is the O2 sensor and the ECU.
Has anybody had this problem?
I also have an E34, basically the E36 has the same engine. Is the ECU the same on both cars?
Also if anybody knows if the 92 and the 95 has the same ECU?
After all of this, where the hell can I find the ECU on the E36?

There is several ECUs on E36... The E36 and E34 with same engine should share the same ECU.
Basically you have the non vanos ECU, the vanos ECU then the EWS ECUs...
The vanos ECU (yours) is hard to find cheap because guys like me are doing conversion on their cars.
