my favorite e34 color, and my favorite e39 rims to accent it, looks great, I would take care of that unsightly wheel gap asap though, lol

Get some new performance springs like Eibach, etc... They will lower on the average of 1.5 inches. Cost of springs between $200-$500 for the set.

Very nice car, Ron.

Check out Bruno's site (http://www.bmwe34.net/e34main/upgrade/suspensions.htm)for info on upgrading your suspension.

Cheers,
Duey

Thanks Ron. The only wheels that come close (but not quite), in my opinion, are M-parallels. A good friend of mine just bought a 2K1 E39 (530i Sport 5-sp) with M-parallels and that makes for a sharp looking car as well. Perhaps the M-parallels are the nicest wheel on an E39, but #5's still kick serious butt on an E34! :D

Duey

Style #5 looks very sharp on E34! How do you guys keep them looking sooo clean? I hope you guys aren't using the OEM pads... They are the biggest pain to clean. Anyway, they good very sharp!

I went with BMW OEM BBS Type 42 (2 piece). I liked the aggressive look of type 42.

Rick, those are nice on your car...I just can't help thinking Jetta Wolfsburg when I see them, though. Did BBS make them for VW too?

p.s. If you want aggresive, the #101 is like a 42, but a few more, narrower spokes!

Cheers,
Duey

Thanks Duey. Never seen Style 42 2 Piece on a VW before. Maybe just a standard Style 42. I believe there are two versions of Style 42. Style 101 looks very nice. I like the fact that it hides the lugs. Have you ever seen one other than the wheel catalog? I have yet to see Style 101 on a BMW. I almost went for the Style 37 but only comes in 18” and exposes too much of my unsightly brakes.

No, Rick, no live sightings of 101's, although if I won the Powerball and had a bit of cash to spare, I'd get a set of 101's to swap back and forth with the 5's when the mood hit me. :D

You're 2-pc 42's are much nicer than the 1-pc wheels on Wolfsburg's...just saw one today and reconfirmed it! :)

my e34 (http://web.njit.edu/~rla2719/BMW530i.html)
Great combination. I have a 91 in calypso and feel it still is the best color for the e34. IMHO.
