My touring has a case of dimming or flickering headlights.

So I swapped out the LKM with a re soildered spare, and still the same thing...

So I suspect the regulator, battery terminal grounds etc.

Pull the seat and the terminals are perfect and coated with terminal sealer.

Check the alternator..and It's a wimpy Bosch 80A, Huh?

I leaf through the PO's repair records and no alternator...

My specs show a 140 Amp alternator is supposed to be in this model.

probably cost him $600.00 plus lol. It may be only 80 amps but has worked, maybe the brushes are worn ir the regulater?

I would check first the charging voltage. Maybe just the regulator is defective.
Even E32 735 were partly (as standard) delivered with 80 A alternators, depending on what was installed as additional gimmicks.
Then came 115 and only the 750 has a 140 A alternator.
Even Autohaus is offering 80 A

Did you check the engine ground ie. cable from engine to body making good contact?
