Hi all,
I am able to pick up a 95 m3 for about 10k with:
5s-d
121k miles
pristine condition
chromed m3 wheels
sunroof
is it worth it???????????????????

I think the early E36 M3s had VANOS probs, make sure all servicing is up to date.
Remember the M stands for money!:(

shot for an s52 instead of the s50. much more horse power and less problems. although that is a pretty good price. I would try to save alittle more and get a later year 96-99.

same hp rating at 240, the s50 has a better intake manifold and has virtually none of the agravating obdII codes that haunt just about every 96 and up m3 i've seen, the s50 is just a 3.0 m50tu with hotter cams just like the s52 is a 3.2 m52 with hotter cams, if i was in the market for a e36 m3 id look for the 95

the usa cars have the same set up as the 325/525 or 328/528, the us m3s are just massaged larger versions of the regular motor, the Money tag came from the purpose built M engines where it can take $10k or more for a rebuild

i think the 95s are the most sought after. is it dakar? if so i would buy it.
