This is very interesting. 0-60 in 4 seconds, torque out the waazzoo, over 130 mph top speed, and recharges in about 3 hours with a 250 mile range. Oh yeah, the batteries last for over 100,000 miles.

Can you say, "Eat my shorts OPEC".....

Think about it for a moment, no tune ups, no oil changes, well, maybe some brake pads....the gas equivalent cost is .01 cent per mile....

At eighty large, how green do you want to be?

Just be sure they aren't getting those batteries from Sony...

I wonder if Ferrari or Lotus have anything to say in regard to styling??

Word is that it's based on the Elise chassis, they won't confirm or deny that though.

assembled on the same assembly lines as the Elise and they make no bones about lotus doing the design and assy for the body and chassis work for them. There have been many articles on this

I really hope they get something in the $20k - $30k price range so the average person can afford one.

A ton of industrial waste created in manufacturing the batteries and heavy metals to dipose of when exhausted. The energy used to recharge it probably comes from fossil fuel.
Plus all the build quality Lotus is known for.

It is. The cars even carry a U.K. vin #. The mfr. acknowledges Lotus "assembles" the cars.
Buy an Elise, beat the crap out of it and still have some residual value. This thing is a gimmick car that won't sell anywhere except the west coast(CA.).
There is nothing "green" about it.

The return of Lucas jokes? I hope not.
