The drivers side power seat on my '95 525IT keeps blowing the 30amp fuse. The seat would move forward and back but as soon as the height was adjusted the fuse would blow. Now it blows the fuse as soon as it's connected to the fuse holder without even selecting any switch function. I'm thinking the switch is bad and might be shorted out. How much is a new switch at the stealer if that is the problem? It doesn't have memory seats.

A switch w/memory is $90 at BMA, only one listed.

Thank you for the link. The switch had some burned contacts and looked like some shorting between contacts was happening. Works great now with no blow fuse.

I don't post much here but when I do you guys always come thru with some good info..It's actually my wifes car and she got the standard 5 minutes or 5 miles warranty on the power seat repair.
