Well I ran over a huge nail and destroyed one of the rear proxes 4's on my throwing stars, so lately I've been driving around with the style 19's that came on my car when I bought it. I really like the look, I just dont like that the rear doesn't fill out the wheel well. I guess Im partial to staggered wheels. Anyways, has anyone ever widened these wheels with aftermarket lips from Kodiak (http://www.kodiakracingwheels.com/shells.html)or similar? I've seen style 5's with aftermarket lips, but never style 19's. I'd really like to make them 8.5" in the front and 9.5 or 10" in the back. I know I'd have to do some machine work on the rear wheels to get the offset right. Does anyone have an idea on cost? You have to call kodiak for pricing and I dont want to call them without doing any research.

Found another site that uses Schmidt lips, which are supposedly very high quality. Looks like its probably going to be ~175 a piece for the lips, plus almost $200 for wheel bolts. I think this is going to be the next thing I do with my car...I just dont know enough about wheel construction in general. Anyone ever widened 2 piece wheels?

Schmidt are high quality - we did a set of BBS RS widened to 16x11.5" with gold bolts from germany.
