I've been onboard for a while but haven't been able to post pics--they're kina crappy, but here you go :)

Edit--since the image restrictions here are ludicrous, here are links...I would pay $10-15 per year if we could post pictures here....

Actually, the limit is 97k or something like that. It's more than enough. The only real limit is the number of pictures per post... which is easily recitified by adding a reply post.

Get euro trim.
Seriously.

Gorgeous car though, wow.

Was it in an accident? The nose panel is misalligned, maybe even the front part of the hood as well...?
Maybe I'm just going crazy.

OK...trying this...

As to my kidney and the parts below, one of my tabs isn't properly sitting after getting the repaint--no wrecks, the paint was knackered from sitting out in Texas sun for 12 years...

Was the paint "cracked?" If so, my sterlingsilber is the same way on some of the panels. Also, if they are Hella clear corners in the front, where did you get them??

I had the exact same issue with the front trim piece on my 535. Once I replaced the black trim around the headlights it lined right up. New pieces aren't that expensive. I got mine free from a junk yard :)

The clearcoat looked like cracked eggshells all the way around the car...it was done. All of the lighting on my car is Hella, I got them OEM from Pacific BMW before I knew to go to Abrahams...I also bought some Smileys, yellow OEM fogs, wiring, and Philips HID which I will install in the next month or so...pics to follow that install.

You wouldn't happen to have those old turbines laying around, would you? :) Wanna sell?

Repaint was $4,800 out the door--lifetime warranty from any defects in the prep or paintwork. I do still have the turbines...they are in rough shape and I really don't want to go through the trouble of shipping them...if someone local wants them I can let them take a look but otherwise I'll probably refinish them and get some t-stars for the centers...

Expensive yes, worth it IMO yes....you can spend $2000 or $2500 to get it done for 2 years only to start effing up and you have to redo it, or you can pay for it to be done correctly. The shop I took it to had several Lamborghinis, Astons, Ferraris, and 911 Turbos there. My car was probably the cheapest on the lot.

Where do you live?

Depending on the price and wether or not you'd want to put them in boxes I'd arrange for shipping to pick them up at your door.

I've been looking for a set of the forged M wheels either with t-stars or to put t-stars on.

I'm in Atlanta--getting the packing materials for them is the whole PITA, hence my desire to sell them locally to someone or keep them.

I have an uncle and a friend in Atlanta :) If it was a local pickup how much would you want for them? None of the rims are damaged are they?

It's SterlingSilbermetallic. I'm in Dekalb, Brookhaven area. The wheels aren't in great shape with dings and whatnot on the turbines as well as some scuffs to the outer lip of the base rim. They aren't in horrible shape but are far from perfect. Not bent or anything, just far from perfect.

my favorite color...

skip the euro rub strips and get the clear sidemarkers and your done.

agree on the paint$$$

...given the adage that if you don't have the time (money) to do it right the first time, how are you going to find the time (money) to make it right the second time?
