I am going to buy a check valve to install near my gastank and I wanted to ask if there is any specific check valves I should get?

I found this and I am considering buying the m20 525i check valve for $25 dollars.

Have any of you have any experience with this check valve? is there any other suggested sites or brands I should check out before ordering?

you'll be diving into the tank to replace the valve on the pump.

E39 checkvalve kit is what you want to buy.

Get the one from BMA. It's 3 bucks... and 5 shipping :D

Part number is 16 14 9 068 988

That's BMW's part number and won't be on BMA's website. I called in my order and they were able to get it without a problem. It came in the mail 2 days later. It works great, and I haven't had my fuel drainback issue since the install, and it fires right up every time effortlessly now.

you sure 7 bucks didn't include the shipping? My total bill was 8.50 ... 3.50 for the part and 5 bucks shipping from CA to TX with Priority mail only two weeks ago?

Just installed this last night along with a new fuel filter. It appears to have worked! Got in this morning and car fired up right away. Ussually it stumbles and dies on the first try, then runs fine on the second try. :D

The part from the dealer came with about a foot of extra fuel line, 2 single use line clamps, about a foot of foam insulation and some strange plastic caps. Not bad for a couple bucks.

Thanks for the part # Snakeyes!
