Well my bimmer has certainly kept me busy over the past month. Here are some pics of my progress and as of an hour ago a big set-back.

First off is the best $7 you can spend on a black E34, tinted plate covers! My first mod...

Next came the odometer bulb replacment. Now I can use my trip counter but everyone thought the car was newer when they couldn't see the miles. :p

Next came a new head unit. One of the other board members has this one and I liked the looks. Picked it up off ebay for $200. The deck is Sirius ready so I got that too. I've wanted sat radio for a while, but didn't want to deal with FM modulators and extra displays.

Last Friday the upper coolant hose sprung a leak from the fan slowly wearing a tear in it. Has you car ever been in disarray?

Number 1 reason not to let kids in your car...

That stuff was becoming one with the rubber under the seat. MUCH cleaner now and smells better to boot. You can see the Sirius antenna wire headed into the trunk.

Yes, I think it was your posts that turned me on to it. I wish it had preset buttons, but other than that I'm very happy. The Sirius integration is very well done.

Also, if anyone has any tips for dealing with GEICO post up. The person at fault has progressive. The funny thing is the paint was peeling on the bumper right where he hit me. The rear quarter and door on that side had been resprayed and they did a piss poor job. I was considering having that corner of the car resprayed anyways. :)

Dude, that sucks. Progressive is pretty good with claims in my experience-- not that I've had alot.

Good luck with that, and hope it turns out better in the end for you.

Dang, maybe there is a bulseye on there? I couldn't believe it didn't trash the quarter panel. You can actually see on the side molding where his car was just barley grazing mine. Then it made that lovely car crash noise as it ripped back the rear bumper.

Do you guys think I should just try and deal with his insurance? Geico will fix my car but I have to pay my deductable. Then they go after his insurance and try to get it back. Other option is to try and deal with progressive directly.
